Information on the Protection of Personal Data

At Aksheya, we attach great importance to processing and storing your personal data in accordance with Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (the “Law”). We would like to inform you about our purposes and methods for collecting, processing and transferring our customers’ personal data, and about your rights under the Law.

1. Methods of collecting personal data

As the data controller, and within the framework of our legal obligations, Aksheya collects your personal data verbally, in writing or electronically through channels such as our website, social media, mobile applications and similar means, for purposes such as enabling you to benefit from our brands’ services, informing you about our campaigns with your consent, recording your suggestions and complaints, establishing better service standards for you, and determining and implementing Aksheya’s commercial and business strategies.

2. Processing of personal data and purposes of processing

As the data controller, through our call centres, written communication channels, social media pages, mobile communication channels, in-store communication channels and/or any other channels without limitation, Aksheya may, with your consent, obtain your personal and/or special category personal data in whole or in part; record, store, retain, change, update, periodically check, reorganise and classify it; keep it for as long as necessary for the purpose of processing or as required by the relevant law; share or transfer it, where legally or operationally required, with the private and legal entities Aksheya works with, with public institutions and organisations it is legally obliged to share with, and/or with relevant third-party natural or legal persons resident in Türkiye or abroad; and transfer it abroad where legally or operationally required.

We inform you that we may process your personal data for purposes such as enabling Aksheya customers to benefit from our brands’ services, informing you about our campaigns with your consent, recording your suggestions and complaints, establishing better service standards, and determining and implementing Aksheya’s commercial and business strategies, in all cases in accordance with Law No. 6698 and related legislation.

3. Transfer of personal data

Aksheya may share your personal data only on the basis of your explicit consent or, provided that adequate measures are taken within the framework of the security and confidentiality principles set out in the Law, domestically and, provided that the necessary security measures are taken, abroad, for the purposes of carrying out company activities, maintaining the business relationship between data subjects and our customers and/or holding related discussions, offering services, opportunities and benefits and improving service quality; with our group companies, business partners, customers and suppliers we have agreements with and serve, audit firms, or public institutions or organisations authorised to request such data due to a legal obligation, and other relevant authorities without limitation.

4. Rights of the data subject under Article 11 of the Law

Aksheya will respond to the following requests from data subjects:

a) To learn whether Aksheya processes their personal data and which personal data it processes,

b) To request information about the purposes of the processing,

c) To know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom Aksheya transfers personal data,

d) To request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or inaccurately processed,

e) To request deletion or destruction of personal data in accordance with the Law,

f) In case of a request for correction, deletion or destruction of personal data, to request that the third parties to whom the personal data was transferred be notified of these actions,

g) To object to a result against them arising from the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems, and

h) To obtain a copy of their personal data.

Privacy and security

To serve its customers better, Aksheya Online Shop requests some of your personal information (name, age, interests, email, etc.). This information, collected on Aksheya Online Shop servers, is used only within Aksheya Online Shop for periodic campaigns, designing special promotions for customer profiles and customer “segmentation” to avoid sending unwanted emails. Aksheya Online Shop never shares the information collected through membership forms with third parties without the member’s knowledge or contrary instruction, does not use it for commercial purposes outside its activities, and does not sell it.

Customer information may be disclosed to official authorities only if requested by them and where disclosure is required under applicable mandatory legislation.

Only the customer can access and change the information they enter into the system. It is not possible for anyone else to access or change this information. To keep our valued customers’ security at the highest level, the credit card information requested on the payment page is never stored on the servers of Aksheya Online Shop or the companies serving it. All payment transactions take place between the bank and your computer through the Aksheya Online Shop interface.
